Tornado Day #2

The weather here is getting pretty crazy. More tornado warnings. Extremely heavy rains. Strong winds. It's crazy.

I had another crazy experience in my science class today. So Mr. Evanston had this radio in his classroom that was supposed to warn us for tornadoes. He said that it would go off when there was a tornado close by. Well it went off in class and scared us all half to death. It started beeping really loudly and this red light kept flashing on the top of it. It was kinda scary. We listened to it for a few minutes and it said that the closest tornado at that moment was 50 miles away. Phew! That was close! It never did hit us though. It also said that there were a few water spouts at some beaches. They were all either more North or more South of us. It didn't go off in class anymore today though. I guess that's good. It will probably go off again tomorrow though. All of the tornadoes happen during 5th period though.... Never anytime else. Hmm.... I wonder if it's cursed..... Haha. =) Probably not though.

This is a picture of a water spout tornado. On Mr. Evanston's little radio thing, we heard that there were like 5-7 of these on several different beaches. They weren't that close to us but we were all still pretty scared. My lab partner kept making jokes about people not knowing what water spouts were and that they would run outside to see what that "cool looking thing over there in the middle of the ocean" was. Also how the smart people are inside for shelter but the dummy who decided to take a picture from the dock just so happened to get their finger in the upper right hand corner of the picture. Wow. Some people honestly don't know when they are in danger. They think that the dangerous things are "pretty" or "cool looking". I think that the highlight of my past few days has got to be science class. =) Even though it was scary, it was still pretty funny. =)

This week has been kinda crazy and a little bit freaky. I will post again about my "exciting" day tomorrow. It's supposed to be way worse tomorrow.... Oh great... Can't wait for another "fun filled" day of tornadoes and rain storms.
